Known Also in the arab world as "Fatima Hand" that protects the person from difficulties in this world and bad spirits from the unseen realm. The word "Hamsa" comes from the number five in Semitic languages and is related to the five fingers in human hand. Each "hamsa" is made in detailed filigree work with a central blue glass.In the Pendant the glass is centered in a heart filigree formation . Length of Chain - 44.5 cm ( approx 17 3/8 inch) . Total weight - 7.9 gr. (0.28 oz). .Length of Pendant ( including loop ) - 3.5 cm (1 3/8 inch) . Length of earring "hamsa" part ( including loop ) - 2.6 cm ( 1 inch).
