Vintage Safari Limited “The Hidden Kingdom” Educational Card Game

Description

Vintage Safari Limited “The Hidden Kingdom” educational card game made in Germany.   Purchased new by the seller, the game is in its original plastic presentation case, which has some scratch marks on the clear plastic cover but is otherwise in excellent condition without damage.   The game cards are in excellent, almost like new, condition.
The game is for 3 or more players and contains 8 groups of 4 cards, each group referred to as a “Quartet” (32 total cards).    Every one of the 32 cards displays a different insect.   The upper portion of one side of each card has a colored photo of an insect and below the photo there is information about the insect.    Each Quartet card is numbered (each of the 4 cards in a Quartet bears the same number) and each Quartet number is followed by an alpha designation of A, B, C or D.   The 8 Quartet group insect categories are Pretty Beatles, Beautiful Butterflies, In and Around Water, Musical Insects, Fast Flyers, Interesting Spiders, Unusual Insects and Stinging Insects.
The back of each card has a white praying mantis seated on a white flower set against a blue background.   The object of the game is to collect as many Quartets as possible.  The game rules are printed on the back of the games title card.
